framing and/or hanging wedi board
attaching hanging hardware, and/or canvas floater frames, to wedi board panels can be a bit tricky. lynn moor, at mosaicsmalti.com, sells hanging hardware washers for wedi panels, which are an option for hanging. she also recommends gluing canvas floater frames directly, and permanently, to the wedi panel to work around the fact that you cannot screw into the wedi board to attach the frame.
if you are looking for another way to attach hanging hardware, and/or a floater frame to your wedi panel, i will share with you what i have done. i don't like the idea of permanently attaching the floater frame, and i have not tried the washers yet. click on the thumbnails to see a different way, which involves epoxying wood supports to the back of the wedi panel, that you can then screw into to attach the frame and/or hanging hardware. i also epoxy the hanging hardware to the wood, in addition to screwing,
for larger pieces, i would probably use thicker wood, or back the entire panel with a thicker wood backing board.

pulse (i'll meet you there)
here is my latest work... just finished it up yesterday (click on the thumbnail for full image). i call it pulse, subtitled i'll meet you there. this piece was actually a distraction from another project that i was not completely happy with. i thought that it would be fun... an experiment... something that i wouldn't take too seriously. and it was... until i started really liking it... then it became too important.
oh well... i do like the way it turned out, and i loved playing with the mix of textures and colors. i just love a vertical andamento... i have no idea why that is... so i just went with that and played around with the mix of materials and heights. i had to pay attention to try and keep the lines straight with all the different materials, but overall did a pretty good job.
too bad the photos don't pick up the sparkle of the faceted beads that i used, or the iridescence of the iridized tiles.
there are pics of each one of the 3 in my wall art portfolio, with more detailed info.
