mosaic artists organization (mao), the yahoo group, has a mosaic challenge for january through november. initially, i was not interested in participating, thinking that i did not have the time.

but for some reason, i became intrigued and spent a few minutes entertaining the idea of doing something small for the january challenge, which is primary colors.

i realized that i was indeed feeling challenged... and adventuring outside of my usual box. even though i was thinking of simple ideas, it was very refreshing to be thinking of things that i would not ordinarily be thinking about.

the dimensions of what i had in mind kept getting smaller and smaller, until i came up with the 2" x 3" size... and decided to try to create a mini mosaic for each challenge.
