when I showed this almost-finished august to my oldest son (19), he raised his eyebrows and cocked his head just a bit... and said, "it looks humid." mission accomplished!

august is hot and humid here in tulsa, and it was even hotter during the week in which our air conditioner went kaput! to me, this red marble was a good color in general for august, and that peachy flesh-colored smalti really did say "humid" to me. how 'bout you?
